there is a field...

"Out beyond ideas of
right doing and wrong doing,
there is a field.
I'll meet you there."

~ Rumi

I'll meet you there. No judgment. No rules. No black or white. Just a place where minds are opened wide and the ability to understand and accept people and ideas outside of our box is natural and welcomed. A place where we all take time to tap into our intellect and think before we react, love before we hate and accept before we judge.

There is a field. I'll meet you there...

  2. This is one of my all time defining quotes. When I first heard it years ago, it spoke to the deepest part of my soul. It matched the longing I feel I was just born with, and its the calling of my heart. That Field is part of my mythology... calling to me, to all who would come. I love that you posted this. And I love the many of us who come and gather here in this bloggie world we have created. Its just another corner of that field...

    Sending you much love sweetie,
    e

  4. here is the truly strange thing, I posted my poem and then came over here to see what you had put up. The poem on the page opposite of the one I chose was the one, and I almost put it instead. spooky, but still beautiful.

  18. If I've been to your blog before, it must have been too long ago. Clicked a link at Michelle's and am delighted with all I'm finding here. So glad you survived that karate accident.

  19. There is so little to say in response to such a far reaching poem, except to delight in the notion that so many people resonate to it's meaning. As Rumi would most likely say, it is not a good poem or a bad one, it is just a poem that offers to open a door into the realm of unconditional acceptance of all that life offers us. That field is always instantly available to us all. It is a human tendency to go there with someone, but the power of Rumi's message is that we can go there alone. Love is not dependent upon a recipient.
