"Look at everything as though you were seeing it for the first time or the last time. Then your time on earth will be filled with glory." ~ Betty Smith
There is something very special about someones eyes. They are more than just portals to our souls....they never change. The rest of our bodies shift and reshape with age, but the eyes...they maintain their importance as if they hold our very essence for the rest of time. Children....mine are adults now and when I gaze into their eyes I still see the babies who stared up at me as I snuggled them close to my heart. Eyes full of wonder and love for this woman who was in awe of them. Sometimes I wonder if my own Mother sees the baby in my eyes still. I still see the baby in your eyes I do
Hey.. I can see myself in those eyes.. oh ya, I was the one that took the picture :) And to answer the question a few posts above, I am the brother on the left.. the one NOT wearing the tie-dye shirt (and I'm the younger brother btw) ;)
What a gorgeous picture (and eyeball!!) it captures you very well! And I can't wait to see/ hear/ know more about your trip to Canada - aren't Canadians great ;)
Hey! I love that bright Tie dyed shirt! I'm just an old hippie!at heart! Give me a whiff of patchouli and I'm back in Georgetown buying an old gerber's baby spoon made into a bracelet off of a guy living off the street back in the early 70's!(Yep, I still have that Cool bracelet!) LOL and I loved B/sis comments about gazing into the eyes and still seeeeeeing the baby! Sweet!and you two are lucky you found each other, you seem to go together like.....hmmmmm patchouli& old hippies! LOL
hi beauty. i've missed you. look at that intense eye! i can feel you peering down into my soul depths!!! boho, you are so wise. your journey will all make sense someday. i, too, have been thinking that everything makes sense in hindsight. we have to give ourselves the time we need to find the meaning. your path is so illuminated by your willingness to allow the unfolding to happen. i adore you! and you inspire me.
xoxoxoxoxo so fracken glad you're back, my galacticadorkoutfriend!

This is the first time I've stumbled upon this quote. Beautiful!
As if I could feel to the very depth of your soul
through the light and shape of your eye
your beauty and wisdom
gazing right at my heart.
Lovely eyes, gorgeous! Love the quote, and your stories from my homeland. I can't wait to hear more. Is Carsten the big or little brother?

You have the most soulful eyes!!! I miss seeing them in person and seeing them when they are full of playfulness and laughter.
Miss you lovely!!
Wonderful quality photo! Your eyes are beautiful, but more than that, you have such a direct and honest gaze.
If it is ok, I'd like to put a link to here on my blog. And I love your website page. The artwork of your navigation reminds me of Lilith Fair.
