boho & firefly lights, canon digital rebel xt

Mmmm...I am just absorbing all of the yumminess I have received from all of you in my previous post. It made me feel a little playful. Thank you for that. I think I am going to take flight with this firefly...

wave of living sparks
the brilliant kind
light a way
tangling the little love-lights
twilight is coming
and for this occasion
rival the very stars.
tiny miracles
luminescence without incandescence.
stars in their courses
think only of illumination
firefly light
the visible part
the spectrum
luminous firefly.
cooler than the air
of the summer night
fingers capture their yellow beams
between flashes of the air
flash little beacons
and reveal all

Great portrait, as always, full of joy and laughter and photogenic frolic! The freeness you enjoy with the camera really pays off in your shots.

Your last post is still marinating. I'd like to respond to it through email, I think. It's just that I felt your pain and you described it so eloquently. I swear, you must have the most tender heart that has ever beat inside a human being.

I love these photos. Oh my, the lightness and joy is evident. Kisses love!

These are so light hearted! I am sorry to hear about how difficult the shower was for you. But, you are right to be proud of the three hours you spent there. And you quietly left when you were upset, not wanting to affect her happy day. I think that shows great strength.

Love your dragonfly lights! I remember seeing those at IKEA!

I have such fond memories of fireflies when I was a kid and lived in Virginia -- i've seen them only occasionally on travels since. They're so magical. Wish we had them here!

I love how happy and playful you look in these firefly photos!

And I can only imagine what an intense experience the baby shower must have been for you.

The closest I can come is the feeling I had in high school when I got 4th place in a super important regional piano competition that I'd poured my heart and soul into preparing for over an entire year. After I "lost" I had to go to a party celebrating the "winners" and it was soooooo hard to be in that environment when all I wanted was to be the girl who won first place.

Okay, pretty petty compared to what you are going through, but I admire you so much for the way you handled the whole thing.
