sunday scribblings ~ two peas in a pod

carey & me on my porch, canon digital rebel xt (taken by hubby)

last night

like minded sister

fingers dancing in your curls

getting messy with me

chalk smeared on paper

colorful fingers

side by side

as the music glides

our soulmates creating melodies

in the background

us in silence

shoulders touching

you sitting, me standing

one heart, one mind

two peas in a pod

in artistic abandon

carey in my studio (click on image for larger view)

edited to add: cute that i've received a lot of comments assuming carey is my sibling. carey is a close friend and a soul sister...my real life sister's live on the other end of California.

How lovely! It's wonderful that you and your sister are "soulmates" and "two peas in a pod". You're lucky to have her in your life.

thank you, sweet Candice.

actually...carey isn't my real life sister. she is my sister-friend. my real life sister's live on the other side of California.

but people do say we resemble one another sometimes.

I liked that, especially contrasted with "two peas in a pod" right above it -- contained, and yet freed through your artistic expression. Cool

And cool picture; I envy you your studio!

I have no siblings but I have 2 daughters, 2 & 4 years old. I see that they have a special bond. Though they fight more often than not, if one is threatened, the other stands up with fierceness to defend her sister. It's amazing!!! I hope that my girls are as close as you and your sister are!!

Den ~ no, she may not be a biological sister...but I know how you are with your friends...

you make them FEEL like family, so the vibe IS there :)

You two are glowing with love for one another.

However...honesty makes me confess that I did feel a small twinge in my heart at the thought of someone else being your bio sis...

I'm your bio sis...big sis...forever...but, I love you as if you were myself.

You look radiant..i miss you
