wish

canada weed, canon digital rebel xt

When I saw this weed from a distance on a walk while in Canada, I thought it was a dandelion. I had a sudden urge to make a wish and blow on the buds to watch them float out into the Universe like I always did as a child. When coming closer, I realized it wasn't a dandelion but to me, it appeared to be even more mystical. It had this illuminating power about it. So, I picked one and made a wish regardless, thinking that perhaps it might get to the Universe even faster with its special glow-like powers.

I urge you to make a wish today. Use this post of mine as a vessel to God, to the Universe, to your Higher Power. Put it here in a comment.

So many of us feel as though our wishes, our dreams are out of reach and therefore, we never even give them a voice.

I have spent the last few days talking to myself. In my car. In my studio. Laying in my bed. Giving my wishes a voice. Hearing me send them out to the Universe makes them more real to me, more attainable. Call it prayer. Call it manifestation. Call it craziness. I see it working with little things, but they are things, nonetheless.

My wish: To be a mommy soon. To nuzzle my nose into the soft skin of our babe and breath in the smell of baby lotions and oils. To blink our eyelashes together in butterfly kisses. To spoon on our bed...mommy, daddy and baby. To be a mommy soon.

Your turn. Make a wish. Give them a voice.

My wish: Thank you Universe for teaching me how to truly express myself in my paintings and sculpture. They now appear strong, authentic, clear, confident and bold. When I look at them I feel satisfied and priveleged.

Thank you Denise for the invitation.

Hello Beautiful One...

I wish for you to be a Mommy as well. I wish for the freedom to make life and work all play. I wish for a family. I wish for the magic of healing and peace in every word and touch. I wish for financial abundance through creative work at home. I wish for health and healing of my body. I wish for one big Bloggie Sisterhood gathering! And I wish for daily reminders that life is good, sweet and full of love.

I open to all of this and more! Oh! And chocolate covered strawberries as a surprise midnight snack!

love love love,
e

Oh sweet Denise, this WILL COME TRUE for you. It's funny--I've had this feeling about you since I first came to your blog--and I read so many blogs of women struggling with their (in)fertility... but you...somehow it just feels different. And here I am saying this without really knowing you at all...and I almost didn't comment, but then I thought, why not? Trust your life. Trust the moment of now. Trust that your baby will find you--because he or she will at the right time.

My wish: that I become more deeply connected in the community this year and find more women friends that I connect with--in person!

I too struggled with infertility for many years. We did finally conceive through many tries at IVF. So my wish right now is for you to become a mommy soon. I will say a prayer for you.

I wish that my art brings abundance into our lives and I never have to work again at a job that sucks the creativity out of me.

I wish that people would stop littering. I can almost understand the invisible pollutions that we produce, but to look at all the trash, cigarette butts, cans, plastic that litters our streets all because people are too lazy to put it in it's proper place...it infuriates and saddens me.

Finally, (I'm going for 3 wishes here...why not, right?) I wish that you and your husband will have the joyful experience of having a baby. You obviously have so much love to give, there needs to be of your kind brought into this world.

My wish: that my husband will live. That he will fight the brain tumor destroying his body and see our kids learn to ride their bikes, go on their first dates and have kids of their own. It's a mighty wish, but I've been known to wish big.

Thanks for this outlet - love ya!

I wish that the test results of our 18 day old little girl come back negetive and she doesn't have hyperthyroidism.

I wish I could live my life without relying on wishes, or desires, or attachments, and simply float like a wooden duck on a pond.

I wish that I could build a big huge swimming pool, with beautiful tile and waterfalls...a swim-up bar! in the backyard so we could all float around in it, and be cool and happy.

And I wish that you could teach your little baby to swim in such a pool :)

I also wish for World Peace and perfect teeth....hee hee hee.

Mostly I wish to be a Philanthropist!

I wish my father stays on his new path, to keep seeing him smile without the help of a substance that was destroying him and those around. I wish I can somehow help my mother.
And I wish, even without knowing you, that your wish comes true.

As I blow on the dandelion my wish would be for a more creative spark and if I may have another wish, I wish for your mommy wishes to come true. Butterfly kisses are the best.

I wish for the constant stream of "what ifs" floating around my head these days to float themselves away and to allow me to be content with the "what is".

And then I wish all of these wonderful, touching, heart-felt wishes into into being...

my prayer for you is that you will be nuzzling that babe of yours soon & that butterfly kisses will abound.

my prayer for me...hhmm (isn't it funny that praying for the hopes & dreams of a loved one is so natural, but it's much harder to put our own requests out there?) ...that i would choose joy in all my moments & that i could have a daughter. i love my boys, but have longed for a daughter...always have.

blessings on your belly!

I heard one time of two men walking in the woods... and while walking there was a small flower stuck behind a rock. No other flowers were around.

One of the men looked at the other guy and asked him "So do you know why that flower is there?" and of course the other guy was rambling on about "A seed... and wind, birds..etc..." all the options as to how a flower could fall and bloom in such a isolated place.

The guy who asked this question then said "No that flower is there for the Glory of God."

All that is around us is created and placed there by God.

We should be in wonder of it each day and know that an awesome God who send his son to die for us put that very bud there :-)

I think prayers and wishes to God, to the Universe and to ourselves really do help us reach our goals and receive our dreams.

The flower of your wish is called Queen Anne's Lace and you're right, they do glow in the sunlight. They remind me of sparklers, the kind that we light up for birthdays or for special events and then blow out while making a wish. And they remind me of home, Canada, and especially driving up the narrow gravel road to the family cottage by the lake. That place will always be magical for me.
