self portrait challenge ~ enclosed spaces

dreamer, canon digital rebel xt

Me enclosed in an ethereal dream.

I've been having some amazing dreams lately. Do you ever wake up and try your hardest to fall back asleep so that you can return to your dream land? Back to the people you were with and the adventures you were on? Then when you can't quite get back there, you find yourself reflecting throughout your day and missing those imaginary dream friends?

I often dream of walking through an ethereal forrest with a sheer, white gown on and my hair blowing softly with the trees. Faeries join me and guide me to sit with them near a lake. They tell me stories of their travels and we share laughter as they speak of those that do not believe in them. We braid one another's hair with flowers, leaves and gems. It feels so intimate, so warm and welcome.

The symbolism, the meaning behind dreams has always fascinated me. I have a dear friend that has the gift of dream interpretation and many times has offered up her wisdom to help me through my journey.

I have learned that my dreams are not far beyond my reality. Even the possibility of faeries...

Find where other's are enclosed here.

This is beautiful. I believe in faeries and angels and all that is ethereal. I think intuitively we know this world is there, we just need to listen.

What a splendid portrait. You are so very pretty.

I had a friend, who has since passed away, who was able to interpret dreams. He helped me so much when I was struggling with a dreadful recurring dream. I have not had it since his help.

And, yes, the world is full of enchantment that exists to those whose minds are open.

about being in a parking lot

through a pea shooter
while i walked around on
stilts...
where in the ever-loving world

This portrait is breathtaking--truly...you should have it framed and hung on your wall, so you can notice how lovely you are whenever you happen by. The writing here about dreams was timely for me...though, unfortunately mine lately have been on the darker end. I still dwell in the possibility that I could have a dream as beautiful as this with the sheer, white gown, the trees, the faeries braiding my hair with flowers. Sigh...at least I can have the daydream--thanks for sharing it.

I either do not dream or very rarely remember a dream. Interpret THAT! :)

Anyway, nice Self-portrait. It's dreamy.

I love this picture of you. It's entrancing. Dreams fascinate me too, and sometimes I wish I could go back to one. Unfortunately I've not been able to do that yet.

Okay...I want this one blown up and framed. If this picture doesn't explain a big part of 'who' Denise is...

So so so beautiful

We are all dreamers in this family, but i want your dreams...

Momma is coming here today...I'll show her this and I know she'll want a picture too, so put a flag on this one sweetie :)

I do, in fact, sometimes have dreams that are so fascinating that I want to fall back asleep and go back to them, although it never works. Even if I fall back asleep the dreams change.

Your portrait is beautiful and definitely captures that elusive dreamlike quality.

wow, I wish I had your dreams, they sound ethereal! Wonderful! What is the dream intrepretation? Forest and White gown ... new spiritual journey (virginal?),

To dream that you are in or walking through the forest, signifies a transitional phase. You may be following your instincts.
To dream that you are lost in a forest, signifies that you are searching through your unconscious for a better understanding of yourself. Also looks like it is spiritual!

Lake: to see a lake in your dream, signifies your emotional state of mind. If the lake is clear and calm, then it symbolize your inner peace. If the lake is disturbed, then you may be going through some emotional turmoil.

To see a fairy in your dream, indicates that you are in search of some help or advise for a problem or decision ... The fairy is also symbolic of your soul and the feminine qualities and aspects of yourself.
And they are braiding your hair?

To dream that the wind is blowing through your hair, signifies freedom to express uninhibited feelings. You are "letting your hair down".
So I am reading, if tangled hair means thinking of some confusion, I would think that decorating your hair would be a wonderful indication of what is going on with your life.

Oh, I could investigate this forever, It is a lovely dream. Thank you for sharing. That was fun!

hi.

my dreams absolutely terrify me.
i lost the majority of my childhood from a car accident/head injury, so they're filled with scattered images, emotions and more of the person i used to be.

i have no ability to recall these things directly, so my unconsciousness becomes a battle ground between 2 me's...

i hate it. it's a horrific experience to wake up thinking that i've spent my few and far between hours dreaming someone elses memories and more...

ugh.

ANYHOO.. i need therapy, and you need to be told what you prolly already know:

your pic, your entry, and YOU are beautiful. i get a little peace of mind jes' visiting you. your entries are fantastic, and your readers warm my cold soul a little too each time.

i lurve you all.
