dark & twisty

shhhh..., canon digital rebel xt

I adopted the phrase "dark & twisty" from Grey's Anatomy, which has become my latest obsession. This is at the fault of my niece visiting me last weekend and introducing me to the show. Other phrases "McDreamy" and "McSteamy" are also flashing in and out of my psyche throughout the day. I even made one up... "McYummy". A new flavor to the word I use quite often.

But "dark & twisty" has me intrigued. We all have our dark & twisty sides. Some of us are better at hiding them than others.

Leave me with what comes to mind when you hear the phrase..."you're dark & twisty".

Ha! de-lurking to laugh at that, because when I watched and she said that, it totally caught my attention! It is a great describing term, huh? And cute. And sooo me.

Dark & Twisty...

This depends a lot on who is saying it to me :)

Hubby ~ Dark would translate to grumpy and Twisty that I'm being irrational
(not a good thing to say I'm being irrational)

Children ~ Dark would mean "You did what?!" and Twisty, hands down, that I have embarrassed them!

Now, if I'm with you ~ sweet lil sis, then we have been very very Shhhhhhhhhhhhh ;-)

You look sexy in this picture girl!!!

You can have McDreamy...McSteamy is...Tsssssssss~hot

Dark and twisty means nights alone in the dark with Nine Inch Nails and a bottle of cheap vodka, spreading your suffering around like an itch. Broken tables and blood staining the carpet. A hangover, sleep walking through another day. Breaking down. Facing mirrors that reflect ghosts. Waiting to rebuild. Waiting for the next day. Waiting to grow…

On a lighter note, Grey's Anatomy is the best show on TV. Go back to season one and take the ride from the beginning. This break you are taking rom blogging is doing wonders for my imagination.

1st of all, darhlin', yer gonna like fuzziechadsrule this week. i'm proud of these lil' contestants.. no go! vote! (giggle)

2nd, i've been called "dark" too many times, and believe me, i'm about as white/elmer's glue complexion as they come, so i know they've been referring to me, my past, and my well... questionable decisions in my life.

BUT, it is amazing when you spend the rest of your life in pennance for those things, WHO you meet and how they effect you.

between you, yer sibs, and many others in bloggerville alone i've become so enriched...

wowsers. yup, that's about it. i lurve you all.

hope yer week is great.

Girlfriend! You are just now coming to Grey's Anatomy??! I haven't owned a tv for the last 5+ years, and I'M obsessed with the show! Its a must, and its all about McSteamy, McDreamy, McDog, McLife, and the dark and twisty things that we sweet girls own deep within that gives us a bit of a sexy edge. Happy watching... If you haven't seen any of the previous episodes, I highly recommend renting the first two seasons! (Can you tell I'm into it???)

If someone said I was dark and twisty I'd be sad. It makes me think of a mean soap-opera chick who manipulates everything to get her way. The other thing that comes to mind is the creepy forest in "Hanzel and Gretel". That was some dark and twisty business.

The lingo from Grey's is very catchy isn't it??? Good show, I love when they show bits of our fair city too.

Dark and twisty, that's how I feel most of the time :P

Love you munchkin!

OOOH - I absolutely love Grey's anatomy. It's a guilty pleasure! You really do need to rent the first two seasons and then you'll be hooked forever.

I have my dark and twisty moments - don't we all? Meredith has them all the time.

Considering how little testosterone is here, I have too defend my share. Stop hoarding all the manliness. I too am man. ARGHHH!!!

Sorry ladies. I guess it's man thing. And oh, by the way what the hell does: fuzziechadsrule mean? Talk about dark and twisty.

Grey's Anatomy is sooo addicting. Even my boyfriend is hooked. As for dark and twisty - why would that be bad thing? I like a little dark & twisty, but I'm not sure I'd like to be described as such.

Oh wow, dark and twisty...I think of the forest, in the dead of night. There is a bit of moonlight casting shadows on the vegetations and trees. The shadows create pictures....and sounds spook.

Okay, enough of the dark visions! ha ha You look stunning as always in your photo.

Love to you....

AHHHH!!!! I freaking LOVE that show. I have NEVER missed an episode yet, and the second I saw "dark and twisty" I know what it was from.

As for dark and twisty... I have spent a good many years being dark and twisty... I am trying to move away from it while still maintaining who I am... I am still kinda confused as to how that works really.... I guess I am still a little doark and twisty. Actually I am ok with that, as long as I am also happy and free.

If you have only just discovered Grey's you HAVE GOT TO run down and rent the first 2 seasons ASAP!!!! Seriously. I am not kidding. Really, you must. I still get very sobby when I think about some of the things that happened in season 2... But sobby in a good way.
