Photo Friday ~ Sentimental
Izzy, Boho Photography
I am extremely sentimental. I still have my baby blanket from when I was born. It has holes and patches and even though its been washed, has an odd scent. It still brings up feelings of comfort and security.
In the picture above is my friends daughter Isabella (Izzy). She is holding her "Lamby". I have a feeling she'll keep this tucked away in her older years just as I do my blanket.
Do you have something you cherish from your childhood?

Denise, What a ~sweet~ post. Yes I am very sintimintal. I have a little pink cape and hood that was crochet for me when I was one. I have a picture of me in it on my first Easter. I still have it, and some day maybe a great grandchild will have a picture taken in it!
~~Thanks for the memories and thanks for freindships ~~
I have a green bear I cherish. The stuffing in its neck is completely gone cause I used to hold it tight in my arms around its neck :)
XOXO Sophie
Love this post so much. I'm definitely one for nostalgia and I've thought long and hard about my childhood, trying to remember everything about it. I'm so fortunate that I had a great upbringing.
To answer your question, PEI is on the exact opposite side of the country from Vancouver Island! It's not too expensive to travel here though! And it's so beautiful! You must visit sometime! In fact do a cross country drive, it'd be fantastic!
:) what a sweet photo and post ...
i have my pookie bear, drooled and tear stained, it got me through childhood and my teenage years and i must confess that i still snuggle up and hold him tight even now when i am feeling in need of comfort ... i cannot believe i just admitted that.
I still have my baby blanket--very threadbare, satin edges long since gone. When I was little I called it my magic yellow blanket and felt that it could cure all ills. Now when someone in my family is really sick, I'll snip off a few more of its threads and mail them some of the magic yellow blanket to make them better.
i still have my baby blanket too. my parents were here a few weeks ago, helping us to tidy up our house, getting ready to sell and we came across it packing up some boxes of things. my mother was quite surprised i think that i still had it. how could i part with it? it's a very faded blue and has elephants and balloons on it. i think my fascination with those beautiful creatures may have begun from that blanket. :)
a tiny pair of red tap shoes :)
all scuffed and beautiful

I just found you, blog-surfing. What a beautiful space you have created, and I can't wait to read more. I had to comment on this post, though. I had what you speak of. The treasure of childhood that you cling to. I lost it recently, so sad, but so comical. If your interested, you can read about it here:

I still have another remnant. Not so significant, but special all the same. I will protect him...
