two hands

matty & suz, canon digital rebel XTi

"No human relation gives one possession in another,
every two souls are absolutely different.

In friendship or in love,
the two side by side raise hands together,
to find what one cannot reach alone."

~ Kahlil Gibran

I've come from four days of an overwhelming amount of delicious emotions. My body is tired but my heart is full. To witness one of my oldest and dearest friends do something we've dreamed and talked about for years (mostly over pink drinks or cozying up on the couch with wine) was other~worldly.

She was an island goddess divine...and he was so handsome and in love. The ceremony was absolutely perfect...and so them.

This is all I can say for now as I want to sit quietly today and marinate in the memories.

Here are a few of many of my favorite moments captured...

WOW, how lovely! Thank you for sharing those beautiful pics! My thoughts lately have been so centered around marriage/relationship stuff, and trying to get there with my boyfriend of many years, despite our ups and downs. I am, at 41, learning so much about myself (and him) the further we go and it's like smoke clearing or something, the true colors of us slowly but surely being revealed. Some days I think I could never, ever be married and then some days I can't see myself without him..I guess making it all the more worth while....People who ARE really happy and living in their glorious love help keep me focused on the positives and counting all of my own blessings too. Thanks for being a great inspiration and sharing your experiences!!

See?? That is what I emailed you about. Wow. Your talent and vision are amazing. You seem to catch the essence of life in your pictures and make it look effortless.

So, what I want to know is, are any of the pictures semi-posed? (Like you say "Okay, walk across the stones" or "Kiss each other!") Or do you really just wait and find the moments?? Boy, I aspire to take photos in a similar way..... Would you mind answering the question, either here in the comments, or at my email below? Thanks sooo very much.

Great, great photos.

Rebecca.

what beautiful images of a precious day. i love the way your photos captured her joy and fufillment. in a world that strives to commercialize 'wedded bliss' you remind us of the real root meaning. kudos.
