stargazing*

stars hanging in letha's home, canon digital rebel xti

My husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday tomorrow and I told him I would like to go stargazing. What I love about him and our connection is that he didn't even question what I meant or ask me why. He just got it.

It's been far too long since I've laid down to look at the stars. I mean really gaze at them. That's all I want tomorrow. A blanket at the beach or a park and a dark star-filled sky snuggled up against boho boy.

To connect with mother nature and God.
To be reminded how awesome our Universe is.
To hold the hand of my husband and try to find the constellations.
(or perhaps even name some of our own)

I've been longing for simplicity and with these new beginnings birthing around me, I'd love to marinate in a simpler way of being.

Beautiful Boho,

Star light, star bright,
The first star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight.

36 Wishes...
and a year where ever single one of them comes true!

Happy Birthday, my friend ;-)

All my love,
Kirsten

Happy Birthday tomorrow!

Stargazing holds a special place in my heart... I have a special friend with whom I go star gazing... Even though we live hundreds of miles away. We both lay out under the sky to watch the stars and to ponder the greatness that is life. We have been doing this since we were 16 years old, and the first thing we always ask each other when we talk is if the other has been watching the stars.

Enjoy your stars baby. I might be watching them from WAY over here with you :)

I have to tell you the funniest thing too, since I was telling you I need the ocean earlier... I had a dream two nights ago, that I was laying on the beach watching the stars with the waves gently washing over my feet. *smile*

Have a beautiful day tomorrow.

You are such a beautiful creation. I'm thankful God placed you on this earth and allowed me to find you and your blog. Enjoy those stars... one of my favorite things is lying on the grass in my backyard and gazing at the stars. With you in spirit.

I hope you have a fantastic birthday tomorrow! Its funny that you mention "marinating" quite frequently. I keep on envisioning you as a giant steak... and since its your birthday tomorrow- perhaps covered in icing? Steak and icing...hmmmm. Sorry that was my lame attempt at being funny... for all that you have been through I hope that you enjoy your day completely and fully! Cheers.

happy birthday! I didn't know it was today. i totally get that, too. what a beautiful thing to do tonight:) Did you know that you can name stars--literally. My mom has had several stars named after her children, so they got this certificate that gives them the coordinate of their star and the official name.
