Girl's Rock*

Found this over at my cool friend Meg's blog.

I cried, laughed and felt joy simultaneously. If we have a girl someday...she's so going to this camp.

My favorite quote from this:

"I've been waiting for so long to finally admit to myself that I'm amazing and I really am. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and they get even better when they decide to be powerful and they decide to rock."

It truly is a choice of ours, isn't it?

we should organise our own camp...Jen can be the rock chic who teaches us...cause I don't have a clue!

expressive! beautiful! yes, it's our choice!

Hope your time with Swirly was "fantabulous"! xx

I share jealous pangs as I experience joy and companionship vicariously through your musings. A mandate I live as I continue to stretch into modern dance is to break down walls and traditions that separate me from my brothers. You and your lady friends absolutely press me into action as you live, love, and light my space with your beautiful persona.
A very important factor in my willingness to risk even sharing these feelings is the obvious love and commitment for your husband. The strength of your bond comes through loud, clear, and tangible.
Thank you Ladies, Thank you for showing up in my life.

That's what I wish for my 9 yr old daughter the most: to know she is MAGICAL from the inside out and to BELIEVE it to the core of her soul! I wanna work @ this camp!!!

Delurking to say thank you for this post. I needed to hear it today.

Thank you for sharing your world with strangers like me (I found you through McCabe, you I found through another friend). You are an inspiration.
