self acceptance

I am just totally loving and absorbing all of you gentle beings out there coming here to validate one another on our path to self acceptance. It's definitely helped pull me out of a funkity funk.
To quote one of my darling readers, Debbie...
"curvy women rock! as do round, thin, short, tall, lean, soft, pear, apple, light, dark ..."
Here's to celebrating and embracing what we've got.
Now go squeeze a girlfriend's bum.

Hey my friend!
So, I have to tell you, I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting your neice Kelly tonight in the restroom at the Mimis in Modesto! : ) I recognized her off the bat and I think she thought I was a crazy mama....but then we laughed and she told me when she saw me, I looked like a person "my aunt would be friends with!" I thought it was the cutest thing ever! : )
What a pleasure!
Thanks for the uplifting post tonight! Hugs to you, always!
omg, Becca...that's hilarious!

i love it.
this rocks. ; )
I think you're a special person. And you are, who you are. You look like you do. All beautiful stuff. Embrace you.
Have I told you lately how much I love you...and I have never met you but reading your blog makes my day and today's just made me smile. Thank you.
*chest bumps Boho*
love you, girl.
*and a little goose on the bottom for good measure!*
thank you, thank you, thank you...you are wonderful! and I love seeing a picture here and there from our photo shoot, and this may be one of my favorites so far! xoxo
I am seeing your sis this afternoon ~ I will give her a squeeze or two... one for me and one for you!
;)
Thank you for being you and reminding us to love being ourselves.
Just read this yesterday. An interview with Michael J. Fox on how he stays so positive...
"I learned through experience and I took notes. When you lose things—for example with my acting-I counted so much on being able to bounce around and do all that physical stuff, which I can't do now. And so that's a loss. I mourn the lack of pure spontaneity in my life, the ability to just say "I'm going to do this —now." But what I found was that if you just kind of relax for a second and see what comes into that space, something will come into it. There are no vacuums. And when you see that happen, it's amazing. So if you are in a place in your life, whether it's Parkinsons's or whatever it is, you can fret about it all you want but at a certain point, you just have to relax. And that opens all kinds of doors for you."
Love love love this photo...makes me want to make the 3 hour drive to squeeze my BBF's butt.
Something I just learned recently....Marilyn Munroe was (supposedly) a size 16! There ya go.
I adore your kind words, heartfelt blogging that we all relate to. Today I needed to read some funny, silly kind words. It's amazing how one blogger can make, or ruin your day. Thanks for keeping kind.
-Namaste
Amen, sista!
