something beautiful...

(click for larger view)

Found this today and it cracked me up. Sometimes I think a photo of my client looks so hot and they can only see what they think are flaws. We all do it and being behind the lens has taught me to see images as a whole. So, even with photos of myself...I try not to just see the bags under my eyes.

I am here...just being a bit quiet. Have a lot of juicy stuff on my plate and am whirling around in it all. I will post some pretty photos of the Swirly & Stacy show in LA soon. It was pure magic.

I also had a very healing photo session with someone special and I will post about that soon as well. So healing that I am needing to marinate in it because life as I knew it has changed for me after being with her.

Until then...tell me something beautiful about yourself.

I forgive people with honesty and genuine forgiveness, and I don't even mean to. If they are a good person, I cannot hold a grudge. I prefer the weightlessness of forgiveness. And I have a cute nose.

i totally know what that feels like to hate all my photos. why is it that we see negative in our reflections?? even my husband does it.

I love my ability to connect to people on a deeper level - and I am told my eyes are beautiful quite often. :)

I love me just as I am in this moment and I make it a practice to tell myself that everytime I look in a mirror. It is a very healing practice.
I love that I am able to forgive others and let go of what has transpired and move forward and upward. I love watching people and also being able to talk to people just as easily.
I love the gift of creativity that I was blessed with and I'm just now making that gift a real force in my life and I'm enjoying how that feels.

oh, that was the best comic strip. it is so true.

on friday i jumped both feet into the world of photographing a friend for some sexy portraits for her hubs. it was so scary at first, i wanted her to feel beautiful and had some doubt about my abilities. but then, we got into it, had some wine and let it fly (so to speak). it made me feel beautiful when she saw the photos and declared them wonderful. especially since 'sexy' has been a miniscule part of our lives for the last year.

i love the camera, it is so empowering in our hands.

The comic strip was a crack-up - I sent it to my Dad, a lifelong photographer! He said, 'That's why I shoot landscapes.' HA

I am an extraordinary listener ... I think because I'm intuitively also listening to someone's body and gestures and pulse and to what ISN'T being said. I somehow always end up, after absorption of someone's words, and a long pause, asking THE ONE QUESTION that brings on tears and an opening.

I would never have thought of/realized that if you hadn't asked to know something beautiful about 'me' (us). THANK YOU!

I pick up on peoples feelings, there sensitivity. I sometimes thing this a problem rather than something i love and embrace.
But today it is a beautiful thing that i can tune in on someone.
Have a beautiful day.

I'm a great listener. I'm also adept at thanking people who have added beauty to my life as you have to mine.

I am able to see beauty and magic in ordinary things. This keeps me rooted and lets me fly at the same time.

I tend to notice my teeth. And the fact that my face isn't symmetrical. But... I do sometimes try to focus on the good! And being the one behind the camera definitely lets me pay more attention to the photograph as a whole.

But there are so few photos of me that every one gets scrutinized.... BAD! :-)
